Daria's degree in urban planning means she understands public policy, but with her graduate degree in counseling psychology, she also knows what it takes to bring people together.

We all know that there are some incredibly divisive issues facing our community. District 1 deserves a Councilmember who will listen to everyone’s concerns and work collaboratively to offer effective policy solutions.
Mayor Adena Ishii and longtime District 1 Councilmember Linda Maio have endorsed Daria because they know she has the skills and temperament to make good decisions under pressure. The job of a council member is not just to tell everyone what they want to hear: it’s to be honest, informed, and effective. Daria has proven she is the candidate most prepared to do the job.
Daria will defend Berkeley’s Progressive Values
Daria got in this race to keep Trump’s influence out of Berkeley. While hopefully the midterms bring us good news, Trump still has two more years in office. Berkeley needs to stay steadfast in defending our civil liberties and protecting our immigrant and marginalized communities.
Our policies need to reflect our values. We need to get rid of mass surveillance in Berkeley, backstop service cuts from the federal government, and take every possible moment to declare our solidarity with those most impacted by Trump’s inhumane policies.
